Dear Friends,
You are a beloved child of God who is unique and special. You are respected and accepted for who you are, with all your differences and gifts, including: sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, race, ability, culture, and economic status. Join us in acts of reconciliation and joyful celebration of our diversity, not only as members of our faith community but as volunteers and leaders.
We stand together against the prejudice of the LGBTQIA+ community and for anti-racism, indigenous respect, environmental justice, anti-trafficking, and on behalf of all those marginalized in our society.
By working together and being open with each other, we develop our faith and follow the example of Christ by humbly loving one another as God loves all of us.

During 2024 we will be reading from the Gospel of Mark, with some portions of John’s Gospel. Mark, the shortest of all New Testament gospels is likely the first to have been written, and recounts what Jesus did in a vivid style, where one incident follows directly upon another. Mark stresses Jesus’ message about the kingdom of God now breaking into human life as good news.
Throughout this year we read from Matthew's Gospel. Written around the year 70 AD, Matthew wrote for a Hebrew audience. He was concerned with showing Jesus as the long awaited Messiah, the king whose kingdom is found in service and justice for all people.
The lectionary has a three year cycle of readings. Luke's Gospel is read during cycle C. Luke the Evangelist is writing some 30 to 40 years after Jesus' death and resurrection and concentrates on the mission of Jesus to the poor and outcast. Luke's is the gospel of Parables - the Prodigal Son, the Good Samaritan, the Kingdom of Heaven Parables. Luke reminds us that the message of Jesus is for all people in all times.
