This is the place where our faith life begins. Through water and God’s promise we are joined to God and to one another in a special way. We are connected to Jesus’ mission and ministry and celebrate our life in God. This is a re-birth that frees us to serve. At Messiah Lutheran Church, baptism plays a central role in our life together. This is why the baptismal font has such a prominent place in our church space and why baptisms take place during our worship services. Every baptism is welcoming into the the “Family of Faith.” Understanding that Baptism is a gift given by a loving God, we baptize people of all ages, including infants.
