We believe at Messiah that we are a community of faith, standing hand in hand around Jesus, the Tree of Life! We believe that everything we do in worship must lead us to care for those who are hurting in our church, in our community and in our world. To that end we involve ourselves in various ministries of outreach every week. We support in our yearly budget Synod Benevolence, Campus Ministry, Lutheran Camps, Domestic Abuse Shelter and various other charities. More importantly than simply our money however, we also support with time and volunteers many community social outreach programs such as:

Kennedy Elementary Adopt-A-School Partnership

Messiah Lutheran Church working with the Foundation for Madison’s Public Schools and our neighbor, Kennedy Elementary has created a partnership with the goal of improving student achievement. The partnership consists of three resource components: Human – Financial – Material.  Throughout the year we work on numerous projects with Kennedy Elementary to support their needs and special projects.
